PosteID is the official app of Poste Italiane for the new digital identity that allows access to the services of the Public Administration and private entities affiliated with the Digital Identity Public System (SPID).

REGISTRATION WITH ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT

If you have an electronic document - Identity Card (CIE) or Passport - you can use the PosteID app for online identification, without having to visit a post office. To use this feature, you need a mobile device (from iOS13 version onwards) enabled for NFC reading.

REGISTRATION WITH BANK TRANSFER

Alternatively, you can use the PosteID app for online identification and then complete the request by making a bank transfer from your Italian account, whether it's in your name or jointly held.

PASSWORD-FREE ACCESS VIA QR CODE

You can authorize access requests through the QR Code displayed on the service login page.

ACCESS VIA TOUCH ID or FACE ID

You can quickly authorize access using your fingerprint or facial recognition instead of the PosteID code.

ACCESS VIA SPID 3 LEVEL

To authorize access to services that require SPID 3, you must possess the SPID 3 PIN. To obtain it, go to your personal area on posteid.poste.it

USE THE APP LIKE A PIN GENERATOR

You can also access services with a temporary PIN generated in the app, even if you are offline. Once you have generated the PIN, enter it on the login page of the service after entering your username and password.
